Believe

When it comes to the spiritual things, our wills should be yielded to God.  Our wills are in our soulish realm, in our mind, and they are used to surrender to His will.

If our minds are renewed and in line with God's Word ... claiming to have the mind of Christ ... then we're more willing to use our wills to follow God.  But if our minds aren't renewed to His Word, we'll be "wishy-washy" like a wave of the sea, back and forth on the beach, blown and tossed by the wind every which way.  We won't receive anything from the Lord because of this double-mindedness and being unstable in whatever we do.  One day we'll be doing it, and the next day we won't.  Back and forth ... back and forth.

James 1:6-8 ...Just make sure you ask ... empowered by confident faith ... without doubting that you will receive.  For the ambivalent (having conflicting feelings about something) believes one minute and doubts the next.  Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind.  You're up one minute and tossed down the next.  When you're half-hearted and wavering, it leaves you unstable.  Can you really expect to receive anything from the Lord when you're in that condition?
