Have you ever hated or disliked somebody so much that it left a bad taste in your mouth?  When they are all that you can think about?  You have become their slave.  Well, it's time to be rid of it ... right now!

Jesus talked about hate in Matthew 5 and in Luke 6.  These Scriptures mention that there's no way of escaping the person who's taken over your life in negative ways.  Jesus is the only way of of escape.

Matthew 5:43,45 ... Jesus said, "You have heard that it's been said: 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemies' ... but I say to you:  'Love your enemies; bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you'."

Luke 6:27,28 in the Amplified Bible, Jesus said, "Make it a practice to love your enemies, treat well, do good to, and act nobly toward those who detest you and pursue you with hatred.  Invoke blessings upon and pray for the happiness of those who curse you, invoke God's blessing [favor] upon those who abuse you ... who revile, reproach, disparage, and highhandedly misuse you."

This is how you escape from the slavery of a person whom you hate ... or who hates you ... and the devastation that hate brings in your life.

And in the doing of these things, you may bring this person to salvation.  Hating them back will not do such a thing.
