Adam and Eve were as intimate with God as anyone could ever get.  They walked with Him all the time in the Garden. 

One day He came and called out to them ... "Where are you?"  He knew exactly what had happened.  They had listened to the devil and had lost their Glory ... their covering.  They had become naked.  They looked at each other and said, "I never saw you like this before." 

So what happened?  God asked them, "Who told you that you were naked?"  Then He did the first blood sacrifice for them, covering them with the skins of the animals.  This was their first covering other than the Glory of God. 

Before this had happened, they were walking with God with everything that they needed ... one shot!  BANG ... they had it ALL!   But with us, it's an ongoing process ... precept upon precept, line upon line.
