Even though the BLESSINGS of Abraham in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 are in the Old Covenant, they are also for us believers today.

Galatians 3:29 says that if we belong to Christ we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise that God made to him.

I have this portion of Deuteronomy written out into my own confession and will tell you how to make out your own confessions of the Word of God.

This is the way that the Lord showed me how to do this, but I'm not going to write mine here for you.  It's better that you do this for yourself.

Go to a portion of Scripture that's a promise of God for you and put it into words that He's talking to you directly.  Where "them, they, name of someone or something" is written, place your name, or "I" or "me" in that place.

This is the Lord speaking directly to you, telling you what you can do, who or what you are in Jesus.  Then you make your confession and say these about yourself.

Be persistant, don't quit even though it looks like it's not working.  God's Word always works!  It will probably take some time ... think how long you've been saying those "other" words.  We have to break up the fallow ground to get it ready for the planting of God's Words to replace the words that we've been speaking all these years.
