We look for sources other than the Heavenly Father for getting our needs met because we don't know what the Bible says about our health and provisions. 

Philippians 4:19 tells us that God meets (supplies) all our needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus ... not some banker trying to fill his pockets with our money!   

You depend upon your own abilities, your own resources, your own weekly paycheck to meet your financial needs.  You go from one preacher to another looking for them to give you the spiritual guidance you need ... actually this is a step in the right direction. 

Ephesians 4:11,12 says that God gave gifts to His Body to help us become mature, to build us up and equip us to do the work of the ministry.  These are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

When people look at our lives, will they see evidence and fulfillment of the promises being manifested in our day-to-day living?  In some of us they will, but too many of us show no evidence of even being a believer.  It's time for everyone of us to grow up and become mature in God!
