We have authority in the words that we speak.  God is interested in what we say and He comes and moves through them. 

Everyone of us has said a thing and then watched God move through our spoken words accomplishing the things that we've said. 

We all say words ... I call them "good seeds" or "weed seeds" because our words are seeds.  We've watched them  come to fulfillment ... we've watched them "grow" ... both good and bad.

God works in bringing about the good words we speak.  But the enemy sees to it that the bad things we say will also come to pass. 

So we have to carefully watch the words that proceed from our mouths.  We don't want bad things happening because we've spoken wrongly.
